Genius Idea: Saving men time by automatically replenishing staple items.
Mashable’s Take: The premise of this site is that men hate department stores. If it’s right, it’s offered a smart service. It lets men schedule shipments of essentials such as underwear, razors and socks every three months.
A similar service, Hoseanna, does the same for women.
But how much underwear does a guy need?
10-14 pairs on hand, helpfully suggests the site, for a laundry cycle of about 2 weeks.

Quick Pitch: SnipReel allows anybody to create a 59 second or less highlight reel from a YouTube Video.
Genius Idea: An easy way to mix and match YouTube moments.
Mashable’s Take: SnipReel is still in closed alpha, but it has a solid idea: Make it easy for people to create highlight reels from multiple YouTube videos or cut down a longer video to short-attention-span size.
The tool either overlays the YouTube player when users hit a bookmarklet or edits videos from an editor on the site by simply copying and pasting the URL.

Mashable’s Take: When you sign up for Wishgenies, you’ll need to tell the app the products that you enjoy or want most and what your interests are in addition to information about the gift recipient. That’s because it uses existing users’ favorite things to make gift suggestions.
When somebody lists a gift recipient who matches your interests, the products that you cited might end up on their list of suggestions.
It’s a smart give-and-take system, but at the moment it’s too new to be of much help. It’s not pretty, and few gift ideas have been shared.

The Internet is buzzing with headlines and reactions about Google's new social network, Google+. Recently launched this summer, Google+ is set to become Facebook's greatest rival yet. Considering that the new social media platform is another product that Google has under its belt, Google+ may just be more than a Facebook contender. If it really uses the power already wielded by Google, G+ may have a tremendous  impact on search engine rankings. Signs That Indicate Influence on Search Rankings Even before G+ was rolled out, Facebook and Twitter were already integrated into the search engine results pages (SERPs). How to automatically post Google+ updates to Facebook or Twitter

Most bloggers set their Facebook pages to automatically post updates from their blogs. There are lots of applications on Facebook that let you automatically post updates from your blog to Facebook. If you have become an ardent Google+ user, you might want to post your Google+ updates to Facebook and Twitter. This can be done with a combination of a couple of applications.Facebook applications like RSS Graffiti, Sendible etc. let you push updates from your blog to Facebook pages or your profile page via the RSS feeds of your
blog. Plusfeed is a tool that gives you the RSS feeds for any Google Plus
profile.We had covered Plusfeed on Techattitude recently. Your feed URL will look like this: “http://
plusfeed.appspot.com/1072221639248386151157″.To post updates to Facebook, go to RSS Graffitti application on Facebook and authorize it to publish updates to your profile. You will see the pages you admin on the left hand menu; select the page you want to post updates to. After authorizing, click on the Add Feed button and add the RSS feed URL of your Google Plus profile onto it. Preview the Feed and finally save it. You can change the settings for the feed like its source name- source URL, Feed style, post type etc. You can also add filter to the feed, schedule it and more.
To post Google Plus updates to Twitter, you can use the famous Twitterfeed application.Twitterfeed lets you post updates to Twitter through a feed URL. Signup for an account on Twitterfeed. Go to the Twitterfeed dashboard and click on the “Create New Feed” button at the top right corner. Now give a name for your Feed (Google Plus for instance) and enter the Google plus feed URL into the RSS feed URL box. Click on the
Advanced Settings button to configure options for update frequency, post content and more. Now go to Step 2 and select Twitter(You can use Twitterfeed to post
updates to Facebook as well but it has lesser options and doesn’t post images either). You will need to authenticate your Twitter account. Once your account is authenticated,click on the Create Service Button. Now whenever you post
anything to Google Plus, it will automatically be posted to your Twitter account as well. Thus, using RSS Graffitti and Twitterfeed, you can easily post Google Plus updates to Twitter or
Facebook.

Google+ Notifications on Desktop with G+ Notifier

Google+ is going popular popular day by day. If you are also a Google+ user, check this new free app G+ Notifier. G+ Notifier is a Windows utility that sits in the notification area and alerts you to notifications in the Google+ social network. It’s similar like GClient app that we discussed here some days back.

This new notification tool woks from the system tray and instantly pops up a message balloon when a new message or post update enters at your Google plus profile. To use it just simply download the app and extract the zip file into a folder on your computer and run the file “GPlusNotifier.exe” to start the program.

Whenever a new reply arrive at you Google+, G+ notifier shows them into a bubble pop-up message, showing the total number of items which you haven’t checked out yet.

Now to view all of these notification just click on the icon at the system tray and it shows all the latest and previously received updates from your profile. And with double-click you can open your Google+ stream in default browser.

Using Google+ Sparks to Find Content to Blog and Grow Your Traffic

One of the features about the new Google+ social network is Sparks.
It has been said that Sparks needs to improve to become truly valuable and while there is a level of truth in that statement, I do think that the true power of Sparks lies in its simplicity and limited results, assuring that often the quality of the results seems to be very high. High also being based on less noise than when using Google Blog Search or Twitter Search.

Using Google+ Sparks

Making use of Google+ Sparks to find content is simple and very straightforward.

When clicking on the Sparks link in the sidebar, the landing page shows you manually curated groups, Sparks, for popular topics.
After having searched for your preferred topic, you can now pin this ‘Spark’ to your sidebar.

From now on you will see this Spark in your sidebar for easy access. Know that Google+ will collapse and only show the first 5 Sparks you added. The next ones will be hidden under the expand tab’.

Using your Google+ Profile to Grow Your Traffic

Besides finding topics to write about via Google+ Sparks, Sparks can also help you to grow your own Google+ profile and eventually traffic to your own blog. Thanks to Sparks it will be easy to promote relevant content on Google+.
Main tips to use your Google+ profile as a traffic generator is to not only publish your content. Also do share content of others, and do comment to the links you share.

On Google+ there is ample opportunity to add commentary and even share topics with specific people, more than on Twitter. While you can ‘page’/ping people in your entries do not overdo and only ping people when your content is specifically targeted at them.
Sharing links on Google+ tends to get noisier than on other networks, please use the possibility to add commentary. Sharing links without commentary is much easier and faster on Twitter.
